How to Download and Save YouTube Videos
Step 1: Download VLC, a free and open-source media player or any other media player with similar features. It will be used to access the video details.
Step 2: After installing VLC, launch the program and navigate to "Open Media" in the upper menu to display media options.
Step 3: Choose the "Network" tab. This is where the URL of the YouTube video is input. Copy the address from your web browser and paste it into VLC's designated field.
Step 4: For Mac users, navigate to the "Window" menu in VLC and select "Media Information". Windows users should proceed to the "Tools" menu and choose "Codec Information".
Step 5: Within the Media or Codec Information, you'll find a URL in the "Location" bar at the bottom. This URL is a direct link to the video file on YouTube's servers. Copy it.
Step 6: Open a new tab or window in your web browser, paste the copied URL there. It will open in a standalone player.
Step 7: Proceed with downloading the video. Right-click on the video to display a menu. Pick the "Save Video As" option to open a save dialog box.
Step 8: Finally, name the downloaded file and select where you want to save it on your computer. Click the "Save" button to start downloading the video.
